Delicious Red Onion Marmalade and Brie Squiche delivered to your door
We hand make our own Red Onion Marmalade by gently and slowly frying the onions until caramelised a beautiful rich golden brown, we then add soft light brown sugar and Balsamic vinegar and this boils down furiously until we’re left with a wonderfully thick and sticky chutney. Combine the sweet and sour flavour of the marmalade with creamy soft Brie and a generous handful of extra mature cheddar tucked underneath and delicately cook within a seriously rich and decadent savoury custard of organic double cream and milk, local free-range eggs and a pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper. These are great cold but when the squiche is gently warmed through, the flavours absolutely sing.

This order was a surprise gift to my niece who lives near Stratford Upon Avon. When she opened the parcel, she was reminded of a previous Mud Foods order of pies that she had enjoyed enormously. This time she was even more ecstatic and found that her excitement was fully justified when she sampled the squiches. OMG! (a fashionable form of explanation), she said. The pastry! The taste! - how can I thank you enough? No need, said I but in my mind was the thought of placing another order for her as soon as she has finished this one. Thanks to Mud Foods for instilling in her, what the Bard described as, an alacrity of spirit that she was lacking at that point. I slept well that night and I imagine she did too.
Very tasty
