Savouring Craftsmanship: Mud's Exquisite New Steak & Ale Pie
Keeping it local
We've partnered with Hampshire's craft brewer, Flower Pots, using their rich, dark Cheriton Porter Ale. And now with a dash of spicy Henderson's Relish and enhanced natural beef stock, this pie promises an exceptionally indulgent experience.
Flower Pots Brewery
Rupert Boissier showed Christian around their microbrewery in the picturesque village of Cheriton in Hampshire, where they've been carefully crafting fine cask ales and beers, in small batches, since 1993. Their in-depth knowledge of brewing and passion for the craft was palpable.
A pedigree beer
Flower Pots’ Cheriton Porter won Gold at the industry awards last year for the South East and Silver nationally for Porters. They describe it as 'a classic Porter, created from a complex grain bill of dark malts and traditional British hops. It has a creamy coffee aroma and roasted chocolate maltiness'. All of which adds a wonderful depth of flavour to our new and improved Steak and Ale Pie.
Pie-fection™ guaranteed
Christian said, “I'm continually striving for pie-fection™. So, when our local brewer retired, it was the perfect moment to redefine our best-selling Steak & Ale Pie. As I explored partnerships with outstanding brewers, I seized the opportunity to refine every element of our recipe. The result is even greater greatness in the pie you see today. I can't wait for our customers to try it and share their thoughts”.
